   In my experience Lorex makes excellent camera systems. Installation is pretty straight forward for anyone with a small background in networking. Their software is simple enough to configure this system with.

   Other thoughts...
   I appreciate that they bundled 100ft of cat5e wire with each camera... but I would prefer if it wasn't capped. Attempting to route cat5 with ends on its a major pain. Save yourself the hassle cut off the end and crimp another cap when done routing the wire.

   BEWARE of Lorex. I have a 1080P NVR system that I bought at Costco 2 years ago. It cost me about $2500 for 8 cameras. Their software support is non-existent. With the latest Android O/S (Lollipop), I can nolonger view the cameras on my phone. Search "Lorex netHD" in the Google Play appstore and you'll see. People have been reporting this issue to them since the Lollipop release last year, and they still haven't fixed their app crashing problem. How does a company of their size not have developers test and release updates for broken apps???? Lollipop is the latest version for Godsake!!!!

   I bought 5 of these cameras to addd to my Costco system. One to replace a camera that was stolen and did not capture the "Selfie" of the thief. Two now have mold growing on their ethernet wires. None of my other wires grow mold. Then the contacts corroded like an ancient battery shorting the camera out. (Not Gold Plated for an expensive camera) Upon cleaning the contacts, they broke. OK, I will wire another receptacle. Their wires are not the standard colors for ethernet. (No white wires with stripes) I questioned Lorex Technical Support for their color code and have a ignored/ticket closed email answer. Maybe I can get my volt meter to pair the wires but that takes a lot of time and is a guess. Lorex support stinks.
