Usually a very excellent image,
I'm very pleased with the image quality, especially in daylight mode where the color rendition is fantastic for a security camera.
I have three minor areas that could potentially be improved.
1) The infrared LED dispersion provides a excellent amount of light in the center 60% of the image, but it falls off pretty dramatically toward the edges and corners of the image. The camera view is about 75 degrees, and I'd say the usable illumination is 55 to 60 degrees. This OK in my situation, but it may not be adequate in some others.
2) The infrared light attracts moths like crazy! The motion settings that worked well during the day caused the recorder to track moth flights all night long. When I dialed back the motion sensitivity I was able to avoid most of the moth tracks, but I'm now loosing some people-walking-by type events. I'll continue to try to dial this in.
I don't know if all infrared illuminators have this same problem, but if the part of the spectrum that attracts moths is different from what the camera is sensitive to, it would be fantastic to filter out the bug attracting light spectrum before it leaves the camera housing.
3) The female RJ45 connector on the end of the fixed wire requires a 1 1/4" hole in the wall to pass through. I would have preferred the camera to come with an RJ45 plug attached and a removable RJ45 in-line coupler. This would have allowed a much smaller hole to be drilled in the wall to mount the camera. Also, the base of the camera doesn't fully seal the hole because it includes a pass through hole for the wire in the situations where you need to surface mount everything. You'll want to caulk your installation if you want an ant proof seal.
Let me say again that these are relatively minor issues that keep me from granting 5 stars. That higher rating is surely appropriate for the picture quality provided by these cameras. I'm very pleased with my buy.

Worst Technical Support Department I have ever experienced!,

Terrible camera. Horrible support!,
It stopped working after about 3 months -- but that isn't the largest problem. The largest problem is that Lorex does everything BUT honor its warranty!
When I called for technical support, I was connected to someone who clearly knew nothing about the cameras that he was supposed to be supporting. The only thing he could tell me was to reset the unit. (Didn't work). Its as if Lorex is hiring directly from McDonalds for tech support staff.
I place a ticket in for warranty support via the website. A week later, nobody had responded to it. I've called in, but the wait time to talk to someone is over 40 minutes. You can press a button to have them call you back, but when I did this, the callback never came.
If you go to the Lorex website, you'll notice that there is no address listed. This is to keep disgruntled customers from simply sending Lorex's terrible hardware back. My experience with this camera is an example of the company selling terrible hardware and hiding from communication (not responding to online tickets, not answering the phone, not calling back when they say that they will) to avoid honoring their warranty.
