Lorex seemed like just try to sell but refuses to help fixing ...,
Upgraded from an 5 years ancient Avtech 4 ch which is very reliable, but low resolution. This Lorex, at 720P provide a clear view on day time, enough to recognize faces, but it's a bit mediocre at night. But; not long after 4 months of use, just after all 12 cameras, cables completely hooked up; This Lorex failed on me miserably with power reset in every 30 min or so. Entailing the nightmare of calling on going tech support for 2 weeks now. Lorex seemed like just try to sell but refuses to help fixing the unit despite mine is still under warranty (1 year). Until now I still wait for the infinitive repair authorization, or clear answer when it will be taken in for repair. Note that it has been 2 weeks since the support ticket was open.
PROs: 12 Chan at reasonable price, Picture clarity by 720P ,DDNS account provided by Lorex.
CONs: Very hot, and noisy
WORSE: Frequent Power Reset defeat the purpose of "Surveillance". Lorex repair center is not supportive, very bureaucratic, and dragging .
Do not buy this model.
