Like it!!!,
+ Cons: The NVR is noisy, too noisy to ignore. The software is not intuitive (you will need to download the PDF manual to study how to setup and use the software). iOS app is confusing. iPad app is extremely confusing (yup, you will need to download another pdf manual and learn too). The plug to connect the camera to Cat-5 cable is too huge. I had to drill a 1-inch hole in my house to push it through.
After all, it is still a excellent system for the money. Like it!

Time to try something new,
Pros
- This PoE system really works unlike the last PoE system I bought from them that would only find 50% of my cameras connected on the LAN.
- Image quality is the best of any Lorex system I've bought and the cameras can better handle high contrast lighting.
- Lorex return policy
- Cost, Lorex systems are cheaper than many competitors
Cons
- You can only use Lorex Cameras with their NVR even though the software has options for other cameras
- Other companies offer systems that don't require the use of a switch (all 16 PoE ports are on the NVRs)
- The Switch and NVR have fans that insanely loud, If you plot on putting these units in a space you occupy frequently, reckon again.
- The user interface on the NVR is worse than their ancient UI.
- Their technical support is not helpful, I called before installing the system to verify that you could use the system without having an internet connection and I was told to just plug the switch into one of the camera PoE ports on the NVR. This advice sounded incorrect and unsurprisingly it did not work. When I called back to question them if I could just plug the NVR and switch into a router without being connected to the internet they took 20 minutes to consult with their advisers to again deliver the incorrect advice. I went out and bought a router and plugged in all the cables and it worked. All the cameras need are a dhcp server to assign ip addresses but technical support spent a lot of time trying to convince me this was not the case.
- The cameras do not offer as wide of a field of view as my ancient BNC system even though the FOV #s on the tech specs are the same. There could be many explanations for this but I suspect it's because the cameras do some built in cropping where they take a 4:3 image and crop/zoom it to a 16:9 image but that is just my guess with no technical info to back that up.
(I bought this system directly from Lorex, not through an Amazon vendor)
