   I like the simplicity of the lorex cam system.,but my issue is with playing back recorded footage, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't .today my yard got robbed , thieves stole 2 bikes and slashed my tires in my vehicle, I was not able to play back the footage, even though it was recording with no error message onscreen, I called lorex the first thing the rep told me was I have to reformat my card .he refused to give me his name and gave a ref #128-6860, reason is he does not know anything about anything , he states the problem would be (1) from corrupted data , which wasn't ,because no error message was showing up(2)my sd card was too quick , I then told him he is making no sense at all because I am not tech stupid and know bandwith and transfer rates very well.he then states that page 156 of the manual says no class 10 cards . Hmm the manual does not have 156 pages , at this point I realized he was pulling info from nowhere ,will never trust lorex again nor will I ever recommend them to any of my coworkers or friends .the video quality shows fantastic when watching live but hope that nothing goes incorrect and you have to playback the video.

   Causes severe interference with home wifi, December 14, 2014

   When turned on, this camera system will cause severe interference with your home wifi, unless your home wifi is on the 5ghz spectrum. Most people have routers that utilize the 2.4 ghz spectrum. When I turn this system on, my internet crawls at <1mbs. When I turn it off, I get 20mbs. I have manually set the channels on my wifi router to many different values between 1 - 11, but it doesn't matter.
   In the end, purchasing this camera system will cause you to spend even more money in upgrading your router to a dual band & buying new wireless adapters that support dual band for each laptop/desktop you have. That too may not solve your problems because you may have other wireless devices in the home as well that require 2.4ghz. It would be much simpler if Lorex would make a dual band camera system so we dont disturb everything else in our homes.

   My Lorex SD Pro causes severe interference to my 2.5 ghz wireless lan rendering the lan useless. Devices that I have switched to 5 ghz return to normal operation. It does not matter where I place the monitor unit in my townhouse, it causes the same interference. Some of my wireless device will not work on 5 ghz. So I was forced to turn off the monitor rendering the camera system useless.
